Job summary

Sargent & Lundy invites an Associate Engineering Intern to join a project team in the Grid unit, assisting engineers on transmission and distribution designs. You will support calculations, specifications, and design tasks while gaining exposure to real project delivery.

The program welcomes students in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering and offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote, starting in summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in BS or MS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Other engineering degrees considered with relevant coursework.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and data.
• Prepare documents and specifications for procurement of major equipment, structures, and installation services.
• Hybrid work arrangement: three days in office, two days remote.
