Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Associate EngineeringIntern for our Grid business unit to support project work in transmission and distribution engineering. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers across civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical disciplines.

The role offers a hybrid schedule, with three days in the office and two remote days in a summer 2027 start. Ideal students are enrolled in BS or MS programs with strong academics, organizational skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a BS or MS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Other engineering degrees may be considered with relevant coursework.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and data for reporting.
• Prepare documents and specifications for the procurement of major equipment, structures, and installation services.
• Contribute to power designs and support project deliverables across grid projects.
