Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Associate Engineering Intern to support a project team in our Grid business unit, with a target start date in summer 2027. You will assist senior engineers in the execution of their project work across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering disciplines.

This hybrid internship offers three days in the office and two remote days, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in engineering calculations, project reporting, and the procurement of

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in BS or MS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Candidates with relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power may be considered.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Work on project reporting, tracking progress and data.
• Be involved in power designs and preparation of documents for procurement of major equipment, structures, and related installation services.
