Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is seeking a Fleet Operations Supervisor to provide frontline leadership, technical guidance, and operational oversight across assigned locations. The role focuses on high-quality service delivery, client partnerships, and efficient fleet maintenance operations.

The supervisor drives team performance, enforces safety standards, and collaborates cross-functionally to meet organizational goals and customer satisfaction. Hybrid work and travel are involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5 years related experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years related experience; or Master’s with 1 year; or PhD with up to 1 year.
• Knowledge of motor vehicle engines, parts, and systems; repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for assigned clients, ensuring satisfaction and timely communication.
• Provide leadership and day-to-day direction for technicians and staff within areas.
• Bridge communication between field technicians and clients with updates and approvals.
• Prepare and present estimates, secure approvals, and maintain documentation.
• Forecast service needs with clients and propose solutions to increase uptime and reduce costs.
• Lead end-to-end operations including staffing, scheduling, and workflow planning.
• Monitor team performance and enforce safety protocols.
• Manage vehicle operations including maintenance, compliance, and scheduling.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide field guidance to technicians.
• Develop partnerships with local business partners to enforce fleet policies.
• Develop and track KPIs to guide improvements.
• Ensure accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and maintenance records.
