Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division seeks a Digital Controls and Embedded Software Engineer Specialist. The role is hybrid, on-site three days weekly at the Raleigh, NC facility with relocation assistance for eligible US residents.

Responsibilities include developing real-time DSP algorithms for power electronics, collaborating across global teams, and supporting UPS and energy storage product lines. Visa sponsorship is possible for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years in real-time digital controls for power electronics or industrial products.
• MS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in real-time digital controls for power electronics or industrial products.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years in real-time digital controls for power electronics or industrial products.

Responsibilities

• Launch critical power infrastructure products meeting customer requirements and project constraints.
• Provide guidance and leadership to technical project teams.
• Collaborate with global teams to solve performance, safety, reliability and quality challenges.
• Develop and validate advanced DSP control algorithms and models.
• Create simulations in MATLAB/Simulink and validate designs with real-time testing.
