Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Digital Controls and Embedded Software Engineer Specialist. This is a hybrid role on-site at our Raleigh, NC facility with relocation assistance available for qualified US residents.

You will develop real-time DSP algorithms for three-phase UPS and energy storage, collaborate with global teams, and drive design from concept to production while applying advanced power electronics control theory.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering with applicable real-time digital controls and power electronics experience.
Advanced degrees preferred with strong background in control theory and algorithms.
Experience with DSP/real-time control in power electronics or industrial products.

Responsibilities

Develop real-time DSP algorithms for advanced power conversion products.
Lead design and validation through simulations and HIL testing.
Collaborate with global teams to ensure performance, safety and reliability.
Create mathematical models and control strategies for three-phase UPS and energy storage.
Utilize MATLAB/Simulink for simulations and verification of control designs.
Guide project teams and apply best engineering practices tosolve complex problems.
