Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division seeks a Digital Controls and Embedded Software Engineer Specialist to design real-time DSP controls for high-power UPS and energy storage products. The role blends office and remote work within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC, with relocation assistance for qualifying US residents.
The position emphasizes developing advanced control algorithms, validating designs via simulations and HIL systems, and collaborating with global teams to deliver robust power electronics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years in real-time digital controls and algorithms for power electronics or industrial products.
- MS in Electrical or related Engineering with 5+ years in real-time digital controls and algorithms for power electronics or industrial products.
- PhD in Electrical or related engineering with 2+ years in real-time digital controls and algorithms for power electronics or industrial products.
Responsibilities
- Launch critical power infrastructure products meeting customer requirements and Eaton commitments.
- Provide guidance and leadership to other project team members.
- Work with global teams to solve performance, safety, reliability, and quality challenges.
- Develop mathematical models and algorithms for advanced DSP controls.
