Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Specialist Digital Controls and Embedded Software Engineer. This hybrid role requires on-site work 3 days weekly at the Raleigh, NC facility, with relocation assistance for eligible US residents.

Responsibilities include developing real-time DSP algorithms for high-power UPS and energy storage products, using MATLAB/Simulink, and collaborating with global teams to ensure performance, safety and reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum 8 years of real-time digital controls experience.
MS in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in real-time digital controls.
PhD in Electrical Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience in real-time digital controls.

Responsibilities

Launch critical power infrastructure products that meet customer requirements and Eaton commitments.
Provide technical guidance to project teams.
Develop and validate DSP control algorithms for power electronics in simulations and real-time tests.
Collaborate with global product development teams to solve performance, safety and reliability challenges.
Design and test controllers for three-phase UPS and energy storage products.
