Addison Group is seeking an Associate Customer Service Representative to join a fast-paced distribution operation in Rosemont, IL. This role focuses on handling incoming customer requests, order updates, and shipment status in a busy call-center setting.

The position is contract-to-hire with potential for a long-term role; it offers a hybrid work arrangement with remote Mondays and Fridays and onsite Tuesday through Thursday, plus training and room for career development.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience within a call center environment.
• Background in distribution, manufacturing, or another product-focused environment is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Teams
• Previous CRM or ERP experience is a plus
• SAP experience is highly desirable
• Experience using chat-based customer support tools is a plus
• Strong computer skills with the ability to work between multiple applications

Responsibilities

• Handle a steady volume of incoming customer calls and provide professional, solutions-oriented assistance
• Input new orders and make updates to existing orders using an ERP system
• Research order and shipment information and communicate status updates to customers
• Assist customers with questions related to returns,billing, credits, invoices, and account information
• Serve as an initial resource for general product and order inquiries
• Investicate order issues and work toward timely resolutions
• Prepare and process customer documentation, including credit and debit memos
• Assist with occasional credit card transactions and other account-related requests
• Maintain accurate customer records and information across multiple systems
• Consistently meet department service and productivity expectations
• Provide additional administrative and customer support as needed
