Job summary

STV, a leading firm in project-based engineering and construction services, seeks a Billing Specialist for its Project Accounting group. The role is hybrid with three in-office days and can be located in Newark, NJ or other STV offices across the U.S.

You will draft project invoices, audit billing information, and review contract terms to ensure accurate and timely invoicing. Collaborate with project analysts and accounting staff to support monthly close and client billing processes.

Qualifications

• HS/GED Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management/Administration preferred or demonstrated equivalent years of experience.
• A minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong planning, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Experience in the A/E/C industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft project invoices accurately per contract terms.
• Audit billing information in the ERP at project setup.
• Review contracts and changes for billing terms and accuracy.
• Create invoicing templates to meet contract requirements.
• Route invoices for approval and maintain invoice files.
• Reconcile WIP against revenue and report variances to the Project Analyst.
• Assist with year-end overhead audits and cash application.
