Job summary

DLA Piper LLP is seeking a Manager, Client Accounts to drive exceptional billing support for senior management, lawyers, and clients across multiple US offices. The role requires delivering thought leadership in global billing practices and aligning with the firm’s strategic goals.

You will lead a team of analysts, supervise monthly closes, coach staff, and implement standardized reporting. A hybrid work schedule and travel may be involved to coordinate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Requires 7 years in a billing function within law or professional services.
• Two years in a management or supervisory role preferred.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and accounting systems experience (Elite/Aderant).
• Experience with e-Billing applications required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to implement best billing practices and drive results.
• Lead Client Account Analysts with daily supervision and guidance.
• Oversee monthly billing close and resolve delays or issues with senior leadership.
• Onboard and train new team members; ensure consistent billing practices.
• Escalate unresolved issues and track team metrics for service improvements.
• Create and validate complex monthly reporting and support project initiatives.
