Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Manager, Client Accounts to lead the global billing function, aligning with the firm’s strategic goals and delivering precise and timely billing and reporting for senior management, lawyers, and clients.

You will supervise Client Account Analysts, oversee monthly close and reporting, and drive process improvements while coaching staff and ensuring policy adherence. This role requires strong collaboration across practice groups and offices.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in a billing function in a law or professional services firm.
• 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory position preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and accounting systems (Elite and/or Aderant) required.
• Advanced experience with e-Billing applications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Global Billing and Reporting, driving process improvements and governance.
• Supervise Client Account Analysts, ensuring alignment with firm billing practices and policies.
• Oversee monthly billing close and reporting, guiding issue resolution and escalation when needed.
• Ensure timely completion of assignments meeting client expectations.
• Coach, train, and develop team members; conduct performance reviews and onboarding.
