Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Manager, Client Accounts to lead the global billing and reporting function in a hybrid US office setting. You will supervise Client Account Analysts, drive monthly billing close, and promote best practices across the department to support senior lawyers and firm clients.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in legal billing, strong Excel and Elite/Aderant skills, and a proven ability to coach a diverse team while meeting deadlines and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have 7+ years in a billing function in a law or professional services firm.
• Two years in management or supervisory position is highly preferred.
• Strong Excel and accounting system experience (Elite and/or Aderant) and e-Billing proficiency are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Client Account Analysts in line with firm billing practices and policies.
• Oversee monthly billing close processes and issue-resolution guidance.
• Develop and implement global billing and reporting best practices.
• Provide training and coaching to ensure consistent application of billing procedures.
• Track metrics and reports to maintain high client service levels.
• Serve as escalation point for complex billing issues with senior leadership.
