Eastern Bank is seeking a Service Associate I in Newton, MA (37.5 hours) to perform hybrid duties between customer service and teller lines. Starting rate is $22.00 per hour.

The role involves assisting with loan applications and processing various transactions while promoting equity and a strong customer experience. Qualifications include a high school diploma and 1–2 years of sales experience, with banking knowledge considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with both customer service and teller duties in branch locations.
• Process deposits, cash checks, and verify cash handling per policy.
• Prepare and process loan applications for mortgage, consumer, and small business loans.
• Refer customers to other bank lines and third-party partners.
• Support quarterly sales goals and maintain operational compliance.
