Job summary

Eastern Bank is seeking a versatile Branch Customer Service Representative / Teller. The role combines frontline service with teller duties in traditional branch locations where a hybrid schedule is allowed, starting at $22.00 per hour.

You will open deposit accounts, process loan applications, close loans, and refer customers to other bank services while actively engaging high-value clients to grow the portfolio. There is a strong emphasis on compliance and accurate handling of transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of sales experience in a retail, financial services or hospitality environment preferred.
• Some banking experience (e.g., teller) is a plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are necessary.
• Ability to learn product and service details quickly.

Responsibilities

• Hybrid duties between branch customer service representative and teller.
• Open deposit accounts and process loan applications for various lending units (mortgage, consumer, small business, etc.).
• Close loans for customers for applicable business lines (i.e. consumer lending).
• Make referrals to other bank business lines and third-party partners.
• Proactively engage high-value customers to retain and grow the portfolio.
• Ensure operational compliance and adherence to policy.
• Handle daily account maintenance and service issues as necessary.
• Support quarterly sales goals.
