Job summary

Eastern Bank is seeking a Service Associate/Teller hybrid in Massachusetts. The role blends platform-based customer service with teller transactions, in a traditional branch setting.

Starting rate is $22.00 per hour, with pay above based on experience and market factors. You will open deposit accounts, process loan applications, handle loan closings, and proactively engage high-value customers to grow the portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of sales experience in retail, financial services or hospitality preferred.
• Some banking experience (teller or similar) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Opens deposit accounts.
• Prepares and processes loan applications for mortgage, consumer, small business, etc.
• Closes loans for applicable business lines.
• Makes referrals to other bank lines and third-party partners.
• Proactively reaches out to high-value customers to retain and grow the portfolio.
• Ensure operational compliance and adhere to policy.
• Handle daily account maintenance and service issues.
• Support achieving quarterly sales goals.
