Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking an experienced Proposal Specialist / Marketing Specialist to lead transportation and infrastructure pursuits from kickoff through shortlist interviews. This hybrid role can be based in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, or West Virginia and involves collaborating with engineers and executives to turn technical depth into persuasive narratives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in proposal coordination, proposal management, or AEC marketing
• Proven track record managing proposals to hard deadlines with multiple contributors
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Experience with Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel

Responsibilities

• Own full pursuit lifecycle from kickoff through submission and shortlist interview
• Lead mid-sized pursuits independently; support major and multi-firm efforts
• Ensure RFP compliance; build and own the compliance matrix
• Write and edit narratives, executive summaries, project descriptions, and staff resumes
• Develop presentations for shortlist interviews; coordinate rehearsals and logistics
• Keep Deltek Vantagepoint project, client, and pursuit data accurate
• Create and maintain marketing collateral like service briefs and project profiles
• Drive process improvements through reusable content and templates
