Job summary

GAI Consultants in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio or West Virginia is seeking an experienced Proposal/Marketing Specialist to lead transportation and infrastructure pursuits from kickoff through submission.

You will convert technical depth into persuasive narratives, manage content and timelines, and collaborate with engineers and leaders to win DOT, county and municipal work. Hybrid schedule with occasional travel and a strong portfolio is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in proposal coordination, proposal management, or AEC marketing.
• Proven track record meeting hard deadlines with multiple contributors.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.

Responsibilities

• Own full pursuit lifecycle from kickoff through submission and shortlist interview.
• Lead mid-sized pursuits independently; support major efforts with senior staff.
• Ensure RFP compliance; build and verify all requirements are answered.
• Write and edit narratives, executive summaries, project descriptions, and staff resumes.
• Develop shortlist presentation materials and coordinate rehearsals/logistics.
• Maintain Deltek Vantagepoint data accuracy and reuse.
• Create marketing collateral: service briefs, project profiles, awards submissions.
• Improve content libraries, templates, and boilerplate to raise quality and speed.
