Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking a Proposal Specialist/Marketing Specialist to lead transportation and infrastructure pursuits from kickoff to shortlist interviews.

This hybrid role is based out of our Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio or West Virginia offices. You will drive end-to-end pursuit strategy, timelines, narratives, and compliance while turning technical depth into persuasive stories for state DOTs, counties, and municipalities across the region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in proposal coordination, management, or AEC marketing.
• Proven track record meeting hard deadlines with multiple contributors.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or comparable CRM.

Responsibilities

• Lead full pursuit lifecycle; kickoff through submission and shortlist interview.
• Lead mid-sized pursuits independently and support major efforts.
• Ensure RFP compliance; build and maintain the compliance matrix.
• Write and edit executive summaries, project descriptions, and staff resumes.
• Develop presentation materials for shortlist interviews and client meetings.
• Maintain accurate data in Deltek Vantagepoint and improve reuse.
• Create marketing collateral: briefs, profiles, submissions, and proposals.
• Drive process improvements and content libraries to shorten turnaround.
