Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Proposal Specialist to lead end-to-end transportation and infrastructure pursuits from kickoff to submission and interview. You will drive strategy, narratives, compliance, and deliverables, collaborating with engineers and leaders to win DOT, county, and municipal work.

Expect to manage mid-sized pursuits independently, coach staff on presentations, and maintain strong content libraries. A hybrid work model across regional offices supports flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in proposal coordination, proposal management, or AEC marketing.
• Proven track record managing proposals to hard deadlines with multiple contributors.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field. Equivalent experience considered.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel.

Responsibilities

• Full pursuit lifecycle; kickoff through submission and shortlist interview.
• Lead mid-sized pursuits independently; support major efforts with senior marketing staff.
• RFP compliance; build the matrix and confirm every requirement is answered before submission.
• Writing and editing narratives, executive summaries, project descriptions, and staff resumes.
• Shortlist interviews; develop presentations, materials, rehearsals, and logistics.
• Maintain Deltek Vantagepoint data; ensure accurate capturing and reuse of information.
• Create marketing collateral; service briefs, project profiles, award submissions, and speaking proposals.
• Drive process improvement; content libraries and boilerplate to raise quality and reduce turnaround time.
