Job summary

Shambaugh is seeking a Project Sales Engineer to provide knowledge and consultation of HVAC, piping and electrical systems. You will work with customers to provide solutions to repair and retrofit opportunities, including financial and energy-based solutions.

The role focuses on estimating, engineering, and selling retrofit, repair, and replacement mechanical projects while maintaining strong customer relationships and coordinating with sales and management teams to grow accounts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, business management or equivalent and 3–5 years of experience in facilities or HVAC services.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping design, estimating and sales.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong mathematical and financial skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, engineer, and sell retrofit, repair, and replacement mechanical projects.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and collaborate with management and the sales team.
• Provide knowledge and consultation for HVAC system solutions, including financial and performance-based options; schedule appointments with new customers.
• Organize workload, identify key customers, and develop action plans to grow accounts.
• Identify opportunities with existing and new customers and lead the sales process.
