Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a Project Sales Engineer to provide HVAC, piping and electrical system expertise. You will engage with customers to offer retrofit and repair solutions, including financial and energy-based options.

The role emphasizes new business development and coordinating the sales team for project execution. Qualified candidates have an associate degree in engineering or related field and 3–5 years in facilities or HVAC services, with strong communication and Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, business management or equivalent and 3–5 years of experience in facilities or HVAC services.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, piping design, estimating and sales.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Mathematical and financial skills.
Interest in business development, networking and industry events.

Responsibilities

Estimate, engineer, and sell retrofit, repair, and replacement mechanical projects.
Maintain relationships with existing customers and work with management and sales teams.
Develop HVAC system solutions for customer problems, including financial and performance-based options.
Organize workload with strong time management and develop action plans to grow accounts.
Identify opportunities, assemble sales resources, and lead sales steps.
Develop relationships with buying influences within the customer organization.
