Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a Project Sales Engineer to provide knowledge and consultation on HVAC, piping and electrical systems. You will work with customers to deliver retrofit, repair, and energy-based solutions, including financial considerations.

In this role you will develop relationships with facility managers, project managers and purchasing agents, and lead the sales process from lead to opportunity.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, business management or equivalent with 3–5 years in facilities or HVAC services.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, piping design, estimating and sales.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong Excel/Office skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, engineer, and sell retrofit, repair, and replacement mechanical projects.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and collaborate with management and sales teams.
• Provide knowledge and consultation for HVAC system solutions, including financial and performance-based options.
• Identify customers and develop action plans to grow accounts.
• Coordinate sales team and lead the sale process with buying influences.
• Develop multiple relationships within the customer's organization to drive new opportunities.
