Ferguson Enterprises seeks a knowledgeable, results-driven Counter Sales Associate to join our team. You’ll be the trusted advisor for plumbing and HVAC contractors, using product expertise to help customers make informed purchasing decisions that support their business needs.

You will engage customers at the counter, on the phone, and via email, identifying upsell opportunities while aligning with our sales strategy. A strong service mindset and ability to learn systems quickly are essential.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in customer service or sales.
• 1+ years HVAC product knowledge.
• Sales-driven with the ability to meet goals and influence purchasing decisions.
• Strong consultative selling and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Engage customers at the counter, on the phone, and via email to understand needs and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a product expert in plumbing and HVAC to guide customer decisions.
• Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and promote strategic products and programs.
• Use catalogs, computer systems, and manufacturer databases to locate parts and provide information.
• Process transactions accurately while delivering a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Associates to support account growth.
• Manage special orders and follow up on order status, back-orders, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain an organized counter environment reflecting our commitment to quality and service.
• Assist with inventory management and stock organization.
