Ferguson Enterprises, LLC. is seeking a knowledgeable Counter Sales Associate to serve plumbing and HVAC contractor customers at our Decatur location.

You will advise on products, help customers select solutions, and process transactions with accuracy while promoting the company’s sales programs. You will collaborate with Outside Sales and manage orders, back-orders, and delivery timelines to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in customer service or sales; prior experience in plumbing/HVAC or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers at the counter, on the phone, and via email to understand needs and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a product expert by applying knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and related products to guide decisions.
• Drive sales growth by upselling, cross-selling and promoting strategic products and programs.
• Locate parts using catalogs, computer systems and manufacturer databases and provide accurate information.
• Process transactions accurately while ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales to support account growth and deliver seamless service.
• Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock organization.
