Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking an experienced Technician, Facility Services in Homewood, AL to install and service HVAC and refrigeration systems across multiple facilities.

Expect on-site work with a broad scope from ductwork to building controls, and active participation in on-call rotations. The role requires HVAC/R certifications, a valid driver’s license, and a track record of maintaining safety and compliance with EPA 608 standards.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Or 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Configures and calibrates low ambient systems and direct digital controls to meet specifications.
• Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues and performs preventive maintenance.
