Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R technician to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems in the Montgomery, AL region. You will interpret schematics, manage preventive maintenance, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with customers and service providers.

The role requires EPA refrigerant handling certification, state driving privileges, and the ability to work across multiple facilities. A company vehicle is provided for calls, and on-call duties are expected.

Qualificações

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Alternative: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Hold and maintains EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report; clean driving record.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Interprets layout plans and schematics to ensure accurate system setup and compliance with codes.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues across commercial and industrial systems.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and minimize downtimes.
• Leads field teams and mentors less-experienced Technicians and Apprentices.
• Drives a company vehicle to complete service calls and participates in on-call rotation.
• Tracks refrigerant levels and submits warranty claims and work orders.
