Job summary

Walmart is hiring for an HVAC/R Technician to install, calibrate, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems across multiple facilities. You will interpret plans, diagnose issues, and coordinate preventive maintenance under supervision, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves leading field teams, mentoring less‑experienced technicians, and driving efficient service delivery within an assigned region. A valid license and EPA certifications are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification required or 4+ years in mechanical maintenance or building controls.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification required (Type I/II or Universal).
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record and no major violations in past 3–5 years.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams; use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair, and service HVAC/R systems and building controls.
• Lead field teams; mentor technicians and apprentices on procedures and safety.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA 608, and local regulations; document refrigerant usage.
• Coordinate service calls, manage workload with scheduling systems, and communicate with customers.
