Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC/R technician to install and service commercial refrigeration and building HVAC systems across multiple facilities. You will configure control panels, read schematics, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lead field teams while coordinating with managers and training technicians. On-call rotations and travel within the region are expected.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification required or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of mechanical maintenance or related field acceptable.
• EPA certification Type I/II or Universal for refrigerant handling.
• Journeyman level where required; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
• Calibrates low ambient systems and DDC controls to meet specs.
• Interprets plans and ensures compliance with building codes.
• Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues; performs preventive maintenance.
