Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based HVAC/Controls Installer to install building automation systems at customer sites. You will interpret drawings, install temperature control equipment, and coordinate with other trades while maintaining safety and documentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–5 years in HVAC/Controls, knowledge of low voltage electronics and DDC, and a valid driver’s license. ABC apprenticeship is a plus.

Qualifications

• HVAC/Controls experience preferred; typically 2–5 years.
• Knowledge of low voltage electricity, electronics, direct digital controls and building control techniques.
• Current or future participation in ABC electrical apprenticeship program is desired; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems and interpret control drawings to install temperature control equipment.
• Prepare for on-site installation by coordinating with other trades and gathering materials; document work and reports.
• Maintain safety standards, inspect tools/equipment, and manage on-site paperwork.
• Travel with occasional overnight stays and adapt to overtime as required.
