Job summary

Trane Technologies in Jacksonville is seeking an on-site HVAC/Controls installer to set up building automation systems at client sites. You will read control drawings, install conduit, wiring, and devices, and coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth installation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 2–5 years in HVAC/Controls, plus valid driver’s license and knowledge of DDC. The role is hourly with regular travel and potential overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC/controls; technical training preferred.
• Knowledge of low voltage electronics and direct digital controls.
• Ability to read control drawings and install temperature control systems.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems on-site at customer locations.
• Interpret drawings, install conduit, wiring, enclosures, and end devices.
• Prepare for installation by coordinating with other trades and site planning.
• Maintain inventory, complete paperwork, and report progress timely.
• Serve as customer contact, diagnose and repair equipment as needed.
• Ensure safety standards and vehicle/tool maintenance.
• Travel regularly with possible overnight stays.
