Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based installer to put in building automation systems at customer sites. You will interpret control drawings, install temperature control equipment, and coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth on-site execution.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 2–5 years of HVAC/Controls experience, with knowledge of DDC controls and building techniques. A valid driver’s license is required, and travel with occasional overnight stays is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 2–5 years of HVAC/Controls experience; technical training preferred.
• Knowledge of low voltage electronics, direct digital controls, and building control techniques.

Responsibilities

• Install temperature control systems and related components per drawings and specs.
• Prepare for on-site installations by assessing layouts and coordinating with other trades.
• Maintain inventory, complete required paperwork, and document progress daily.
• Serve as the primary company contact on-site and ensure customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment.
• Adhere to safety standards and manage company assets and tools.
