Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an HVAC/Controls technician to install and service building automation systems. You will interpret control drawings, gather materials, and coordinate on-site work with other trades to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment at customer sites, maintaining documentation, and providing excellent customer service. Travel and overtime may be required; safety is emphasized throughout all tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; typically 2–5 years HVAC/Controls experience.
• Knowledge of low voltage electricity, electronics, and direct digital controls.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months; safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems using hand tools; interpret drawings and specs.
• Prepare for on-site work by reviewing layout, materials, and coordinating with trades.
• Maintain inventory and complete required paperwork with time, progress, and duration reports.
• Serve as the direct customer contact; diagnose and repair equipment on site to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Frequent travel with occasional overnight stays; adhere to safety and security policies.
