Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Controls Account Manager to join its Commercial HVAC team. You will build long-term relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, and building owners, delivering total building solutions that optimize energy efficiency and performance.

You will develop a business plan, assess customer needs, and guide the sales process from lead to opportunity. The role requires 4+ years of experience or a BS, 2+ years in solution sales, and a valid driver’s license;

Qualifications

• 4+ years of demonstrated experience or a Bachelor of Science degree.
• 2+ years of solution sales experience.
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC controls solutions addressing customer problems, including financial and performance considerations.
• Identify customer needs and market opportunities; assemble the acquisition team as needed.
• Convert leads into opportunities by defining the sales process and team roles.
• Create and execute account business plans for long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Answer technical questions on HVAC systems, Trane products, and controls, including installation and maintenance.
• Plan and manage daily schedule and customer visits.
