Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead the commissioning of utility-scale solar, BESS, SCADA, and substation projects nationwide. The role requires coordinating with project teams, owners, and utilities, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements during commissioning, testing, and energization.

The position is hybrid, with onsite work at job sites and partial remote work. Travel across projects nationwide is expected, with responsibilities spanning planning,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commissioning, startup, testing, construction, operations, or project delivery for utility-scale electrical facilities.
• Experience leading cross-functional field teams and coordinating multiple projects.
• Ability to translate contracts and specs into executable commissioning plans.

Responsibilities

• Own the HV or BESS commissioning scope across 2-3 projects, incl. milestones, schedule, resources, risks, and turnover.
• Develop and maintain a project-specific commissioning execution plan and deliverables register.
• Lead readiness reviews and ensure prerequisites are complete before testing or energization proceeds.
• Coordinate with owners, utilities, ISO/RTOs, OEMs, and field teams while protecting witness/notice requirements.
• Provide daily/weekly reporting to commissioning and project leadership.
