Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead the planning, execution and management of commissioning across utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, SCADA, and high voltage substations nationwide. The role requires on-site presence at job sites with partial remote work.

You will own the commissioning scope for 2-3 concurrent projects, translate contracts and specifications into actionable plans, and coordinate with owners, utilities, and engineers to ensure safe, on-time

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commissioning, startup, testing, construction, operations, or project delivery for utility-scale electrical facilities.
• Extensive experience with HV substations or BESS commissioning and field execution.
• Ability to read IFC drawings, schematics, and interconnection requirements.
• Strong project-management and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional field teams on multiple projects.
• Valid driver's license and ability to access project sites.

Responsibilities

• Own HV or BESS commissioning scope across 2-3 concurrent projects with deliverables and schedules.
• Develop and maintain commissioning execution plans and resource forecasts.
• Coordinate with owners, utilities, OEMs, and field teams to ensure readiness before testing.
• Lead readiness reviews and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Direct pre-commissioning through hot commissioning activities and witness testing.
• Produce daily/weekly reports and manage documentation for turnover.
