Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead the commissioning phase for utility-scale solar, battery storage, SCADA, and substation projects nationwide. This role combines onsite field work with hybrid coordination, requiring strong leadership across engineering, operations, and safety teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commissioning/startup of HV/BESS systems, solid project management, and experience with EPC contracts. Travel to job sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commissioning, startup, testing, construction, or project delivery.
• Experience leading cross-functional field teams on complex EPC projects.
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, interconnection requirements, and OEM manuals.
• Strong scheduling, cost, risk, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to access project sites.

Responsibilities

• Own HV or BESS commissioning scope across 2-3 concurrent projects.
• Develop and maintain commissioning execution plans, schedules, and deliverables.
• Translate contracts and specifications into executable commissioning scope and work plan.
• Escalate safety, contractual, technical, or resource issues promptly.
• Coordinate readiness reviews and ensure completion of prerequisites before testing.
