Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to plan, execute, and manage commissioning across utility-scale solar, battery storage, and substations nationwide. You will lead the commissioning phase, coordinating with project teams, owners, and engineers to ensure readiness, testing, and a smooth turnover from commissioning to closeout.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in commissioning for HV substations or BESS.
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
• Ability to lead cross-functional field teams and stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license and ability to access project sites.
• Project management experience with EPC contracts and witnessing testing.

Responsibilities

• Own HV or BESS commissioning scope across typically 2–3 concurrent projects, including deliverables and schedules.
• Develop and maintain a commissioning execution plan, milestones, deliverables, and resource forecast.
• Translate contract requirements and interconnection conditions into executable scope and work plan.
• Lead readiness reviews and ensure prerequisites are met before testing or energization.
• Coordinate field commissioning teams, OEM advisors, and third-party testers; manage witness requirements.
• Manage pre‑commissioning, cold, warm, and hot commissioning activities and testing.
• Provide daily and weekly reporting to commissioning and project leadership.
