Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead the commissioning of utility-scale solar, battery storage, SCADA, and substation projects across the U.S. The role requires coordinating with owner teams, site engineers, and contractors to deliver commissioning activities on time and within contract requirements.

The position is hybrid with on-site presence at job sites and some remote work; travel to multiple sites nationwide is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience commissioning, startup, testing, construction, or project delivery for utility-scale electrical facilities.
• Experience with HV substations or BESS commissioning and project execution.
• Ability to read IFC drawings, diagrams, control narratives, and interconnection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own HV or BESS commissioning scope across 2-3 concurrent projects, with deliverables and milestones.
• Develop and maintain commissioning execution plans, schedules, and resource forecasts.
• Translate contract requirements and OEM specs into executable commissioning scope and plans.
• Coordinate readiness reviews and ensure safety, quality, and documentation readiness before testing.
• Lead field commissioning teams, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with owners, utilities, ISOs/RTOs, OEMs, and witness testing as required.
