Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in medium- and high-voltage systems. The role requires PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months and at least 5 years in consulting focused on MV/HV power design.

You will design MV/HV power distribution for renewables, prepare complete construction packages up to 200 kV, and perform essential electrical studies. Collaboration across disciplines and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience focusing on medium- and high-voltage power systems.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, BESS, EV charging, and microgrids.
• Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and full construction packages for complex electrical systems up to 200kV.
• Conduct electrical studies including short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, and relay coordination.
• Provide technical support to field personnel for MV/HV systems and equipment up to 200kV.
• Participate in project management tasks, client meetings, and shop drawing reviews.
• Mentor engineering and design personnel within the Power Market team.
