Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for medium/high-voltage projects. Candidates should have 5+ years in consulting, PE licensure or path to licensure within six months, and a BS in Electrical Engineering. You will design HV/MV systems, prepare construction packages up to 200 kV, perform studies, and support field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer licensure or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum of 5 years' consulting experience in medium- and high-voltage power-system design.
• Experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specs, submittals, and construction administration for power projects.
• General Contractor license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewables (solar, wind, BESS, EV charging, microgrids).
• Traditional transmission and distribution design, underground and overhead.
• Prepare specs, calculations, drawings, and full construction packages up to 200 kV.
• QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide technical support to field personnel for MV/HV systems up to 200 kV.
• Conduct electrical studies: short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, relay coordination, etc.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues in renewable facilities.
• Collaborate with civil/structural engineers and coordinate with other offices.
• Perform due diligence, feasibility, design studies; prepare utility master plans.
• Participate in project management: client meetings, design coordination, shop drawings, construction administration.
• Mentor Power Market team engineers.
• Occasional travel; flexible hours for deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
