Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in medium- and high-voltage systems in Peotone, Illinois. The role requires PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months and at least five years of consulting experience.

You will design HV power systems for renewables, perform studies, prepare construction packages, and collaborate across offices. Travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure within six months is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience in medium- and high-voltage power systems.
• Experience with electrical construction drawings, specs, submittals and construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage power systems for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS, EV charging, microgrids).
• Perform 15–200 kV designs including line diagrams, substations, grounding, protection studies and sag/tension analyses.
• Conduct QA/QC to ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide technical support for HV systems and field Coordination across offices.
• Conduct short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, relay coordination analyses.
