Job summary
Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for medium/high-voltage power systems, including renewables integration and substations up to 200 kV. The role requires a PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
You will design, analyze, and coordinate complex electrical projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support field teams through construction administration. A strong background in MV/HV design is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting with a focus on medium- and high-voltage power system design.
- Experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specifications, submittal reviews, and construction administration.
Responsibilities
- Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects.
- Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and full construction packages for complex electrical systems up to 200 kV.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
- Provide technical support to field personnel for MV/HV systems and equipment up to 200 kV.
- Perform electrical studies including short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, and relay coordination.
