Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 who will execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities.

The role is remote with heavy travel to varying jobsites; specific location details will be discussed at interview. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to travel 75% of the time, and demonstrate strong safety, documentation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to travel 75% of time.
• Recognize hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.
• On-call availability (weekends/after hours).
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure safe working environment by following safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and reports.
• Assemble, write and review complete test reports of work performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
