Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This role is remote with heavy travel to varying job sites; location details will be discussed during the interview process.

The technician will perform acceptance testing, ensure safety, prepare reports, and coordinate with clients and teammates, while supporting other technicians and trainees as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to travel 75% of time.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Familiarity with electrical testing standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment following safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate test reports and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Assemble and review complete test reports of work performed or supervised.
• Manage multiple jobs simultaneously and support trainees as needed.
