Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 who will perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting in substations, BESS and PV facilities.

The role is remote with heavy travel to varying sites; duties include reporting, safety leadership, and client coordination. The position requires strong safety focus, the ability to work at remote sites in extreme weather, and travel 75% of the time within the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Demonstrated safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid trained; familiar with job safety analysis and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and enforce safe work practices.
• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Maintain a safe work environment per company and industry standards.
• Understand and communicate safety regulations and procedures.
• Prepare timely, accurate test reports and documentation.
• Complete assigned tasks with Technician and Trainee support.
• Write, review and assemble comprehensive test reports of work performed.
• Manage multiple jobs concurrently and coordinate with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Assess and mentor other technicians on safety and technical skills.
