Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. seeks an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This role is remote with heavy travel to diverse jobsites; exact site details to be discussed in interviews.

Key duties include safe testing, timely documentation, and collaboration with clients and teammates; travel approx. 75% is required. Extensive equipment testing and NET A procedures knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to travel 75% of time.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, inclement weather).
• Ability to work on an “on call” basis (may include weekends or after-hours situations).
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and ability to operate company vehicle.
• CPR/First Aid training.
• Job Safety Analysis familiarity.
• Electrical Testing Standard Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in the substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment through strict adherence to and enforcement of safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review a complete test report of the work performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Handle multiple jobs simultaneously and supervise trainees as needed.
• Learn safe operation and selection of listed equipment and use a computer for tests.
• Test and verify equipment per NET A standards across various assets.
