Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair at substations, BESS and PV facilities.

The role is remote with heavy travel to diverse jobsites; location specifics will be discussed during interview. You will follow safety standards, document test results, and operate equipment such as transformer testers, megohm meters, and relay test systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to travel 75% of time.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.
• CPR/First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in the substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment through strict adherence to safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review complete test reports of work performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Create and save a test plan and test data in the report software.
