Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair across substations, BESS, and PV facilities.

This remote role requires frequent travel to diverse job sites and a strong emphasis on safety and documentation. The technician will perform acceptance testing, write comprehensive test reports, and communicate effectively with clients and teammates while upholding SOLV Energy’s commitment to safety and inclusion.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to travel 75% of time.
• Recognize hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in remote locations and extreme weather.
• On-call availability including weekends or after-hours.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid training.
• Knowledge of Job Safety Analysis and Electrical Testing SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment by following company and industry safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Write and review complete test reports for performed work.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Lead safety and technical skill assessments of other technicians.
• Uphold SOLV Energy culture of diversity and inclusion.
• Handle multiple jobs simultaneously.
