Job summary

Buc-ee's, Ltd. is hiring a Human Resources Field Representative in San Marcos, TX. The role focuses on supporting HR and employee relations across stores, including onboarding, benefits, payroll, and policy compliance.

Ideal candidates have onboarding/train­ing and employee relations experience, with 3-5 years in HR and proficiency in HR systems like Workday. The position offers $25.00 per hour and a benefits package including medical, dental, and vision, plus PTO and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• PHR or eligibility to take the exam within 1 year preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant HR experience
• Proficiency with HR systems including Workday and Dimensions; EEOC knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures and ensure store compliance
• Handle employee relations including timekeeping and disciplinary issues
• Serve as liaison between Store Management and HR for onboarding, benefits, and payroll
• Review applications and interviews for frontline positions
• Evaluate forms such as W4, WOTC, and I-9 for accuracy
• Manage store onboarding process and explain policies and benefits
• Coordinate with HR team to answer questions about policies, pay, and benefits
• Facilitate online training for new employees, including Kronos and safety training
• Stay updated on Federal and State HR laws
• Perform other duties as required with/without accommodation

Buc-ee's Is Coming to San Marcos, Tx - Opening Late Spring 2026! We are looking for Retail and Food Service Management Now!

The Human Resources (HR) Field Representative is responsible for providing assistance with the Human Resources and Employee Relations issues within our stores.

Candidates must have previous onboarding, training, and employee relations experience.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a working knowledge of company policies and procedures while working directly with store General Managers ensure employee compliance
• Handle employee relations which includes, but is not limited to, timekeeping and disciplinary issues
• Act as a liaison between Store Management and Human Resources department to ensure a timely flow of information for onboarding, benefits, and payroll
• Review applications and interviews for frontline positions
• Evaluate forms, such as W4, Work Opportunity Tax Credit, and I-9 for accuracy and adherence to procedure and regulatory requirements
• Manage the store onboarding process for new employees, which includes explanation of policies, procedures and benefits
• Partner with HR Team (Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, etc) to respond to employee's questions about policies, pay, and benefits
• Facilitate online training for new employees, which includes but is not limited to Kronos, position related online training, and safety training
• Maintain knowledge of Federal and State legal requirements affecting Human Resources
• Perform other duties as required or assignedEmployee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• PHR or eligibility to take the exam within 1 year preferred
• High competency with HR systems, Workday, and Dimensions3-5 years of relevant HR experience
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office SuiteEEOC experience a plus
